Fervor (1) intense and passionate feeling
Fervor is a roving dining experience. It welcomes you to beautiful locations to share in world class cuisine with a sense of intimacy and generosity. Established in 2013 by Head Chef Paul ‘Yoda’ Iskov and his partner Stephne Pronk, Fervor is based in the Margaret River region on Wadandi Country in Western Australia. Known for the quality of its produce and local wine, this country is one bounded by white sand beaches and karri forests. From here, Fervor travels to many other places and has hosted events in Kakadu, Kununurra, Esperance, and further afield in Melbourne, Singapore, South Africa and New York. We extend a hand of friendship to all who are interested and share our love of country through the best food and culinary experience on offer.
“Just being with Paul for a short amount of time, I tasted things I’ve never ever tasted in my life. He’s opened my eyes to many different things and widened my knowledge.”
“There have been so many people that have contributed their time and effort to our events and experiences. We are grateful for their passion, care and insight, knowing that a community is what makes food special.”
Over the last ten years, Fervor has worked with many staff, partners, collaborators and organisations. There have been so many people that have contributed their time and effort to our events and experiences. We are grateful for their passion, care and insight, knowing that a community is what makes food special. Fervor thanks each and every one of them, and know that we are better because of their effort, that we have become what we are because of who they are.
Paul ‘Yoda’ Iskov is the Head Chef of Fervor. Yoda established Fervor to give back to his community by connecting people to local ingredients. Many of these have been marginalised because of food inequalities. Passionate about sustainability, First Nations rights and local excellence, Yoda has trained many young chefs in the pleasures and challenges of high end cooking, thinking through production and taste along the way. Although he has experience in the world’s best restaurants including time at Amuse (Perth), Noma (Copenhagen), DOM (Sao Paulo), and Pujol (Mexico City), Yoda loves the coastline of Noongar Country, especially near Kinjarling in the Great Southern, and can often be found in the water, his second home.
Fervor is led by Events Manager Stephne Pronk who was born and raised in South Africa, where her love for hospitality first started. She is passionate about creating an intimate and welcoming environment for diners. Steph’s aim is to foster connection through service and to make beautiful food a central medium of social expression. She enjoys gentle and complex conversations around a shared table where people can be free to be themselves.
Starting work at Fervor in early 2021, Liz Klokeid has become an integral part of the Fervor team over the past three years. She discovered a love of cooking in the disability sector before starting her hospitality career at Polly in Melbourne. After this, she returned to Perth and worked at Nobu, Bistro Guillaume, Modo Mix and Epuicurean in the Crown Casino complex. Named Crown’s Apprentice of the Year in 2020, Liz loves mixing diverse ingredients into a rich tapestry of welcome flavour.
Kaya. From our home on the Wadandi beaches to the Yawuru wetlands to the Ballardong plains to the Gija gorges, we love this Country. We pay our respects to Nature, to Ancestors and to Elders, from the time when the world was soft until tomorrow when the sun rises again. We are grateful to the place and the people who are the traditional custodians, and acknowledge that our work is a celebration of the care for Country that matters to us all. Fervor says thank you Boodja.
