"The crew from Fervor came out to my country with good clean energy, we had a real good time and they were very respectful and wanted to learn from me. I have a lot of love and respect for them. I am very proud of what Paul is doing and I wish him all the best. They became like family to me and I was happy to share what I have with them. We look forward to when they come back to us. I wish them good luck on their journey and I give my support to them and what they are doing.”

"“I have known Paul Iskov from Fervor for many years and my admiration for him grows each year. I find him sensitive to culture and protocol in all his dealings with Aboriginal people. His work takes him all over Western Australia and recently into the Northern Territory. He always seeks out the traditional owners who take him on country and share food knowledge with him. Paul has dug out honey ants with the old girls from Kalgoorlie and cooked up goanna in the Pilbara (presented to him by a local Traditional Owner, of course). Paul also works with local growers and harvesters of Australian native edibles to prepare and present incredible dishes created with imagination, flair and a superb ability to tease the finest flavours from our local Indigenous food.”

“Magicians say you should never perform the same trick twice, less the audience figure out how the magic happens. I’ve been experiencing the magic of Fervor for more than a decade, and I’m no closer to working out how Paul, Steph and their crew manage to make an entire room - or cave, or barn, or olive grove - full of guests disappear then reappear in the same place and make us all taste and see the land around us anew. I just let that Fervor magic happen and embrace it wholeheartedly. Because, nowadays more than ever, we could all use a little magic in our lives right? Beyond the deliciousness, the beautiful dinner locations and that sense of adventure Fervor has given me, Fervor’s greatest gift is helping connect me to this country’s First Nations culture and helping me understand this land - as well as myself - a little better. I pray the magic never ends.”

"Just being with Paul for a short amount of time, I tasted things I’ve never ever tasted in my life. He’s opened my eyes to many different things and widened my knowledge."

Kaya. From our home on the Wadandi beaches to the Yawuru wetlands to the Ballardong plains to the Gija gorges, we love this Country. We pay our respects to Nature, to Ancestors and to Elders, from the time when the world was soft until tomorrow when the sun rises again. We are grateful to the place and the people who are the traditional custodians, and acknowledge that our work is a celebration of the care for Country that matters to us all. Fervor says thank you Boodja.
